World Space Week (WSW)<\/strong>, as declared by the United Nations is held every year during 4-10 October, in more than 80 countries all over the world to celebrate the contributions of space science and technology to the betterment of the human condition.<\/p>\n This year Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO)<\/strong> organized a \u2018Space Fair\u2019 <\/strong>to invite young learners, school\/university students and general public to commemorate the event of World Space Week by not only witnessing but also participating in different competitions. The initiative of organizing \u2018Space Fair\u2019 <\/strong>in Karachi was to create awareness among schools about space science and its applications and encourage the schools across Karachi to become a part of this mega event.<\/p>\n Following competitions along with several different activities were arranged at the venue:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n MSB Educational Institute takes this privilege to be a part of the mega event by participating in Model Making Competition. Our students of Grade XB Hatim Hunaid and Mohammad Shabbir under the leadership of Afreen ben Izhar (Science Teacher SSC) with the tireless efforts and enthusiasm made a\u00a0 unique and excogitative model for the competition.<\/p>\n Prestigious schools like were participants in the event.<\/p>\n and many other schools took active part in all the competitions. There were many universities which demonstrated their astonished projects to the public.<\/p>\n Our students chose to work on lunar gravity and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 capsule thus they came up with a model titled \u201c Impactful lunar landing, a dream come true\u201d.<\/p>\n Our students\u00a0 were confident in replying to all the questions which the visitors were asking them. They demonstrated command over the subject matter , language and self-possession on the work they had done. Their firmness of the purpose was reflecting in their body language.<\/p>\n Although our model was not on the winning list but the experience and learning that our students indulge in themselves by participating, \u00a0is a life time achievement for them.<\/p>\n Our school is more ambitious now to participate in such events every year, where every experience will be more learning.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n EDUCATIONAL TRIP BY GRADE 9 AND 10<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Around 51 students of Grade\u00a0 9 and 10 visited the event that evening. Their enthusiasm and curiosity evoke their interest in projects. They performed like fuel to the participants who were already tired by the evening. This mega event was a ground for them to learn more about space and atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n
